Doubt vs. Truth

Wisdom from Renee Swope (excerpts from chapter 6 of "A Confident Heart"):
Doubting God's promises makes it hard to trust God's heart. That's why we need to recognize Satan's lies, refute his temptations, and rely on God's Word instead.
We need to keep our minds clear by asking Jesus to replace the clutter of insecurity, pride, and Satan's lies with the clarity of His truth.
Compare your thoughts about [your] situation to God's thoughts. Do they match?
God's thoughts refuting my doubts this morning:
Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. - Romans 8:35, 37 (NLT)
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. -  Romans 8:28 (NLT)
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. - 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)
So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you. - Deuteronomy 31:6 (NLT)
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord.  "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you," says the Lord. "I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land." - Jeremiah 29:11-14 (NLT)
Dear Lord - please hear the groans of my heart. I do not know what to pray for, but your Holy Spirit does. I trust that you will work through all my doubts and struggles and breathe your truth and promises into that maelstrom of human frailty. You already have this morning and I pray that you will help me seek your truth each second of every day so that I walk in your power and promises. Please be with all of your children today.  No matter what circumstance they are facing, please give them the courage and faith to stand tall and trust in your sufficiency and love.   The Bible says: If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won't he also give us everything else? That says it all, doesn't it, Lord?  I will trust in this promise from your Word today and let that unbelievable truth soak deep into the tiniest corners of my heart and soul. I love you. Amen.

Blessings and peace,

Leah
